There's a lot in NGEDIT, but I think everything there is needs to be there. I'm a "depth over breadth" type of guy, and I hope that it is the way it is designed that gives sense to each and every feature. Apart from that, 1.0 will be the minimum release that makes sense, so no "overwhelming lists of features". I really hope you like it when it's ready, and I also hope that your sentence "does what it does really well" will be fully applicable. Eric, thanks a lot for the support!

I'm excited by the idea of a modern text editor that does what it does really well, and I don't want it to get lost in a sea of features. As 37Signals says, "less is better".
